Passenger reports and opinions
about experiences with Ryanair

  • Flies 120 Boeing 737's, making it one quarter the size of the largest low-cost airline in the world (Southwest in the US, which has 500); Ryanair's fleet is similar in size to Easyjet's and to British Airways' short-haul aircraft fleet, which is used on European routes
  • Planes are new - on average less than 3 years old
  • Ryanair's main hubs have historically been Dublin and London Stansted, but it is now developing more across Europe, including Glasgow (Prestwick), Brussels (Charleroi), Frankfurt (Hahn), Milan (Bergamo), Marseille, Gerona and Rome
  • This is the largest low-cost airline in Europe in terms of the number of passengers flown, and is also the most profitable
  • Average revenue per passenger is only £30, so typical ticket prices are low by any standards, and 'no-frills' really does mean what it says
